#2803 1928 Bridge Jacket

$16.00

This vintage pattern from 1928 is for a Bridge Jacket. Women in 1928 wore this jacket when – you guessed it! When they played Bridge! This pattern still works in the 21st century for a Bridge game or a myriad of other activities.

It is a GREAT looking jacket: something to throw on in an air-conditioned room or a nice piece for layering!

There are only three pieces to this pattern. The sleeves are kimono in the front and raglan in the back. The scarf, cut in one with the front, ends in a lovely tie in the back. The wrong side of the fabric shows at the collar where the scarf goes over the shoulder so pick your fabric accordingly. A gusset provides ease at the underarm.

There is 8” of ease in the bust and 7” of ease in the hips. We recommend rayons, silks, double faced jerseys, linen, cottons and light weight wools or tweeds. Choose any soft fabric where the wrong side will work when exposed as the collar and scarf. We know we’ve found another vintage pattern with loads of style and we’re bringing it back for today’s sewists!
