The dress would also be just as lovely with embroidery along the edge or even with no ornamentation at all. We also see this dress with a contrasting fabric for the overlay; perhaps a sheer or even a beautiful lace to give it a more formal flavor. The possibilities are endless!

The pattern only has 3 pieces and the main focus of the dress is the flattering diagonal line of the Applied Front piece (and the fringe only works to emphasize this even more.)
